In tests DP chain endured salt-water (brine) spray for more than 500 hours, providing five times the anti-corrosion performance of zinc plated chain and 20 times the performance of nickel-plated types. DP Chain is the ideal solution where carbon steel chains must be replaced frequently, due to excessive corrosion, or where plated chain is flaking and causing problems.

It offers the same strength and wear resistance as standard carbon steel chain but with a unique double barrier against corrosion.

A specially developed topcoat protects the chain from physical impact and corrosive agents.

A zinc base coat extends the protection through a unique sacrificing function that prevents oxidisation from reaching the chain core.

The low-temperature process requires no acid wash, so chain strength and wear life is maintained.

Complementing its anti-corrosion performance, Tsubaki's DP chain is the only chain of its type with a chromium-free coating, which means that both plant environments and operating personnel are not exposed to risk from hexavalent chromium - a known carcinogen that may be harmful if inhaled or absorbed.
