Low headroom trolley hoists move larger loads
Low headroom trolley hoists have been re-designed with horizontally rather than vertically mounted hoist units to give additional height to safely move and manoeuvre larger loads.
When lifting and load handling in conditions of restricted vertical clearance, then every centimetre of usable space below a hoist lifting hook can be critical. The latest low headroom trolley hoists from J D Neuhaus have been re-designed with horizontally rather than vertically mounted hoist units. This effectively creates additional height to safely move and manoeuvre larger loads.
These products, as with other JDN handling equipment, are air operated making them particularly suited to hazardous area operation.
They carry an ATEX classification and marking of EX II 2 GD IIA T4 (X)/II 3 4D IIB T4 (X) for use in explosive atmospheres.
Products with increased levels of spark protection can also be supplied, where explosion groups IIB and IIC may be encountered.
The hoists are suited for operation throughout industry, even in dusty or dirty conditions, as well as the more critical operations as covered by ATEX regulations.
The use of corrosion proof construction with an optional offshore paint finish also extends applications to a wide range of marine environments.
These low headroom trolleys can be supplied with lift capacities from 500 to 2000kg.
They incorporate the well-proven air hoist mechanism from the Profi Ti range, and feature a new two-speed trolley motor with rack and pinion drive mechanism.
An overall reduction in the number of components ensures low-maintenance and low-wear in operation.
This includes the motor design which eliminates the need for additional lifetime lubrication.
The trolley system incorporates longer crossbeams to improve the load lift height and is suitable for use with I beams to DIN 1025, and other beams of similar type.
It is also designed to negotiate curves in the running track, and is equipped with a pendant controller for all the lift, lower and transfer operations.
A range of energy feed systems can be fitted including energy chain, C-shaped or square rails, spiral hose or even hose trolleys.
Operation is safe, quiet, economical and responsive, working off an air supply of 6 bar pressure, with working conditions in the temperature range of -20 deg C to +70 deg C.
Long duty cycles with 100% rating can be anticipated even when constant switching is involved.
These products complement a range of standard trolley hoists with lift capacities up to 20 tonnes and lift heights up to 15m.
Ultra-low headroom monorail hoists can also be supplied for loads in excess of 2 tonnes.
